Rockaway is a beach resort on the beach at Playa Zicatela, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. Our hotel is directly in front of the best surfing beach breaks in the world. Rockaway Hotel is beautifully constructed of indigenous materials (palm and palapa) and with an abundance of coconut palms and tropical plants and flowers. The accommodations are individual cabañas (bungalows) separated by parking spaces for your motor vehicle (all parking is within the resort grounds). The cabañas are serviced daily and all have private bathrooms with showers. Included in the rooms are large ceiling fans, also a floors pedestal-type fan for your convenience, one or more double beds, a set of bunk beds, a table and chairs, and small bedside table. Each cabaña has it’s own covered patio. All cabañas offer a television for an optional additional fee. We have a beautiful deep swimming pool centrally located - near all cabañas with a restaurant/palapa bar at one end of the pool (a popular spot). We also have a well stocked convenience store and we boast "the coldest and cheapest beer on the beach". Cabaña Rental Rates
We also have one large Cabaña that has a large kitchen with all dishes and utensils (just buy your own food). This unit has a color TV with cable and remote control. It has 2 double beds and 2 fold-out sofa beds and accommodates 8-10 people for a regular season price of $600 Pesos a night or $1000 Pesos a night in High Season. It has a 5-day minimum rental requirement. We have built several new Hotel rooms with conventional type construction. These new rooms come with a queen size bed, air-conditioning, hot water, color cable TV, furniture, etc...Very nice very modern and very reasonably priced.
